The Second Big Bang
Beasts on planet earth, aliens in a cluttered
      landscape,
Restless itinerants, nurtured in wetlands and tangled forests
All arms and legs, sentient, speechless wanderers.

In a breathless moment, God cleaves creation,
The awkward ape awakens, awareness and knowing appear
Perilous freedom is loosed on an unprepared earth,
Joy and suffering become our story, and God’s passion.
All Glory, All.
